AmStar has adopted a turnkey approach to materials development, conveyance technology and application methods for thermal cladding. Strategic partnerships with materials manufacturers Special Metals, (Inco Alloys) and Devasco International provide AmStar with direct participation in the development of material compositions. For example, the recently patented AmS 888 material was developed over a three-year period in our groups’ collaborative R&D effort.

Amstar’s patented formulas provide cladding materials available exclusively with our High Velocity Continuous Combustion (HVCC) spray technology. AmStar’s Director of Technology, Dr. Michael Seitz, originally invented HVCC technology. [Ref. Hill, H.A.
